Mark has explored many career options along the way including working as the gardener for Lake McDonald Lodge in Glacier National Park, Montana, to owning a group of retail shops in Connecticut. He considers each position held as valuable research for his present career as a writer and storybook author. Currently Mark has more than a dozen books in publication with more scheduled for release in the coming years.

His first book, "A Snowman Named Just Bob," was published in 1999 and in 2005 Snowman Bob's story continued with the release of "A Snowgirl Named Just Sue."
